Lorain County Manufacturing Sector Partnership Appoints Michael Fitzpatrick as New Executive Director
Elyria, OH – The Lorain County Manufacturing Sector Partnership announced today that Michael Fitzpatrick has been appointed the new Executive Director of the partnership.
An experienced non-profit business leader, Michael will succeed Dr. M. Judith Crocker and has assumed the responsibilities of the role as of July 15, 2021.
Dr. M. Judith Crocker - a longtime advocate in workforce development - served as the organization’s interim-director during the organization’s formative years
Michael Fitzpatrick is an Ohio transplant and has had a 20-year career with the Boy Scouts of America, serving in both field operations and development roles.
“Michael’s enthusiasm and experience in the non-profit area immediately impressed us and clearly distinguished him as the right person for the position,” said John Butkowski, President of the Lorain County Mfg. Council. “Michael has the skills we need: significant experience organizing volunteer operations, fundraising, engaging the community, and rallying new people to a cause.”
While with the Boy Scouts of America, Michael was instrumental in leading growth in the organization’s membership, funding, and board development. In addition, Michael successfully spearheaded several major initiatives.
Mr. Butkowski continued, “I believe that Michael will attract new companies to the partnership and support those member companies’ efforts to increase workforce retention, to embrace new technologies, and to partner with educators to equip our emerging talent with the skills they need to succeed.”
Michael holds a degree in psychology from Goucher College, is an Eagle Scout, and was recognized in 2016 as one of
The Hartford Business Journal’s Top “40 Under Forty” professionals shaping the future of the Hartford region.
